Bir Hakeim Bridge

Bir Hakeim Bridge

A little bit of History with the Bir-Hakeim Bridge

The Bir-Hakeim Bridge, called "la passerelle de Passy", was originally built in 1878 for the Universal Exhibition. Then in 1905, a large construction was launched to transform this building into a railroad and viaduc. Since then, the metro airline offers us a splendid view on the Eiffel Tower! As you walk on the bridge, you can enjoy watching the photo shoots as well as admire the architectural beauty of this bridge and the statues along your route. In 1949, the bridge was renamed Bir-Hakeim and since it's a place of memory for the Français Libres.

A few minutes from Villa Nicolo, this bridge is a must for lovers of buildings and for those who want to admire the Seine and the Eiffel Tower.
