Mussels with Pineau des Charentes
Ingredients:
2 chopped onions
3 cloves of garlic
1 coffeespoon of parsley
Salted butter
500g of mussels per person
2 glasses of Pineau des Charentes Blanc
4 tablespoons fresh cream
Recipe:
1. Place the onions, garlic and parsley in a casserole and sauté in salt butter.
2. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Add the mussels
4. Drizzle with 2 glasses of Pineau. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
5. At the end of cooking add 4 tablespoons of crème fraîche.
To accompany with french fries!
And for the food and wine pairing: A Loire wine or a white Bordeaux.
