Who is Nicolò ? 

Nicolas Isouard known as Nicolo is a French composer who was born in Zebbug, Malta on the 18th of May, 1773 and died in Paris on the 23rd of March, 1818. Nicolas Isouard from an early age is interested in music. In 1799, he came to Paris where he became friends with the composer Rodolphe Kreutzer.  They worked together on several operas including Le Petit Page, La Prison d’Etat (1800) and Flaminius à Corinthe (1801). Isouard adopted the pseudonym Nicolo and found rapid success in the field of opéra comique with Michel-Ange (1802), Cinderella (1810), La Gioconda (1814) and Aladdin (1822). He is buried at the Père-Lachaise Cemetery.
